Tracy Wade is a nationally recognized expert on denial and appeals management, a founding member of Washington & West, LLC and a partner in the law firm of Fotheringill & Wade, LLC. Throughout her career, she has focused exclusively on the representation of hospitals and health care providers in their disputes with medical insurance carriers, managed care organizations and government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
Ms. Wade assists hospitals across the country with third-party payer revenue recovery, generating millions of dollars in revenue by resolving denied and underpaid medical insurance claims for her clients through written appeals and arbitration. Ms. Wade acted as lead developer and project manager for Quantum Appeals®.
Ms. Wade brings extensive legal and denial management experience to Washington & West, dating back to her work as a registrar in the emergency departments of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the University of California at Los Angeles Medical Center. As a hospital registrar, she gained an understanding and appreciation of fundamental hospital insurance issues, while working her way through undergraduate and law school. Ms. Wade has served as a guest speaker and presenter at the national and regional chapters of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the National Association of Healthcare Administration Management (NAHAM) and at the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM).
Ms. Wade graduated from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the Supreme Court of California and the U.S. District Court for the District of California. She is a member of the American Association of Healthcare Administration Management (AAHAM), the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the Maryland State Bar Association, the California State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
